Jemma and Andy approached Marry Me Cyprus in 2018 when they started searching for a dream Destination Wedding venue. A Cyprus Wedding as always been what they dreamed of so after lots of research with their Wedding Planner they chose an exclusive venue, Liopetro for their Paphos Wedding.

The planning for their day was smooth and with ease, until met by a Global Pandemic, Covid-19. The ride from March – September 2020 became a little bump but their Cyprus Wedding was still their goal and when they boarded the plan from London to Paphos in September with over 80 guests we knew it was going to be ‘a day to remember ‘ for lots of reasons and for it never let us down!

A gorgeous September in the blazing hot Cyprus sunshine, Jemma and Andy said ‘I Do’ surrounded by family and friends. Nestled in the hills of a small village outside Paphos, Kouklia is the home to Liopetro, our favourite rustic wedding venue for your Paphos Wedding with Marry Me Cyprus. Rewowned for their exclusivity, hospitality and genuine charm the doors opened at 330pm and the guests transported from their hotels by our transport providers, we welcomed into this gorgeous venue with open arms and lots of excitement. With prosecco and Corona on arrival (ohh the irony) we were ready to watch this lovely couple say ‘I Do’.

Liopetro is an exclusive venue perfectly suited for a wedding from 30 people oozing in charm and hospitality and today dressed and styled by the team at Marry Me Cyprus providing all your Wedding Décor items and flowers to make this venue personal to you and your visions.

Guests took their seats, the Groom Andy and Ushers took their stand and the gorgeous Jemma and her father and Bridal Part, having been made ready for their day by the super talented Make Up By Artemis and Renoir Hair Stylists, left the stunning Bridal Suite and made their way down to the Ceremony Circle to exchange Wedding Vows. With any destination wedding, we all have goals we hope to achieve, with Jemma and Andy it was an ‘open air’ venue with lots of scenery and views of the sea. Liopetro is just that! Panoramic sea views nestled on the hills of Paphos in Unisec Protected Land for the local Heritage and complemented by the idyllic Panagia Odigitria Church situated adjacent to the Venue, where couples can get married.

Teamed with super professional talent and the ability to make you feel at ease, the photos speak a thousand words! They Did it! Their Dream Paphos Wedding came true and all in the middle of a Pandemic!

From Group Photos the newly married Bride and Groom took to the Cocktail Lawn with their guests to enjoy the fun and some amazing entertainment by Giannis Moditisax with live saxophone sets for the afternoon, chilled and relaxed sipping cocktails and taking in the celebratory atmosphere being enjoyed by all!

As leading award winning Wedding Planners, we work tirelessly to make sure every small detail is included, that every part of the day runs without delay and provides a fluid feel to keep the day moving without rush or long delays, and before we knew it it was time to cut the cake! Love Island Cakes are renowned as ‘the supplier’ for your Wedding Cake and what a gorgeous cake they had! Mouthwatering and beautifully decorated, Jemma and Andy absolutely loved the samples they had tasted in the planning stages of their wedding and were keen to get stuck in! You can just tell their jubilance in their photos and toast to being newly married!

So with the afternoon passing through, the team at Beziique Photography and Island Films, the Cyprus Wedding leading Cinematography providers it was time for some Mr & Mrs Photos, as these were being captured steps away from the venue in the natural surroundings, the team within the venue at Liopetro started to seat the guests. With the sun slowing going down and the venue reception area set in the shade, family and friends took their seats and waited for the Mr & Mrs entrance. Gabrielle ‘Dreams’ played and Mr & Mrs Baird made their grand entrance and took their seats at the top table with their family, starting their evening reception with Speeches shortly followed by a mouthwatering BBQ Live Grill Dinner Service Buffet for their food piled high for the food enthusiasts. Teamed with a personal bar and table service by the uniformed friendly waiters at Liopetro the night started to move up a gear and in preparation for the First Dance the live singer and entertainer, Aimie Wild took to the stage to warm the evening and guests up with some vocals.

The sunset, the Bride & Groom were full and the prosecco turned to shots – it was time for their First Dance with Gavin Riseley, DJ from Definitive Disco to get the party started. They Did It!
