Who we are

Marry Me Cyprus is a trading name of KB Luxury Destination Weddings Ltd., a company registered in Cyprus (registration number HE475776) with its office in Paphos. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company.

We are the data controller for the personal information described below. If you have any question about this policy, or want to exercise any of your rights, contact us at sales@marrymecyprus.co.uk or on (+357) 26 323 209.

Information you give us

Almost all the personal information we hold is information you choose to give us. When you complete the enquiry form on this website, we collect the details you enter, which may include:

  • Your name and your partner’s name
  • Your email address and telephone number
  • Your wedding date or preferred season, and expected guest numbers
  • Whether your guests are travelling from abroad
  • The venues, regions, services and packages you are interested in
  • Your budget range, planning stage, styling preferences and colour theme
  • Anything you tell us in the free-text fields about your vision or inspiration
  • How you heard about us

We also collect whatever you send us afterwards — by email, telephone, WhatsApp or in meetings — as planning progresses. For couples who go on to book, that typically extends to guest lists, dietary requirements, travel and accommodation details, supplier preferences, timings, and the documentation required for a legal ceremony in Cyprus.

We do not take payment card details through this website. Any payment is arranged separately, and card details are handled by the relevant bank or payment provider, not stored by us.

Information collected automatically

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, which measures page views and general traffic patterns without cookies and without building a profile of you across other websites. It records aggregate information such as the page visited, referring site, country, and general device and browser type.

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, which are used to operate the site securely and to diagnose faults. See our Cookie Policy for more detail on this.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your personal information. Ours are:

  • To respond to your enquiryand send you venue, package and availability information — on the basis of your consent, and of taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • To plan, coordinate and deliver your wedding, including instructing venues and suppliers on your behalf — on the basis of performing our contract with you.
  • To run and protect our business, including keeping records, improving the website, understanding aggregate traffic, and preventing fraud or misuse — on the basis of our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligationsin Cyprus — on the basis of compliance with a legal obligation.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us. That will not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do share it with:

  • Venues and suppliers— photographers, florists, celebrants, caterers, transport, hair and makeup, and the venue itself — but only the details each one genuinely needs to deliver your wedding, and only once you are planning with us.
  • Resend, which delivers the enquiry form to our inbox as an email.
  • Vercel, which hosts this website and provides its analytics.
  • Our professional advisers, such as accountants and legal advisers, where necessary.
  • Public authorities, including the relevant Municipality or District Office where a legal ceremony requires it, or where we are required to disclose information by law.

Our service providers act on our instructions and are bound to keep your information confidential and secure.

International transfers

Cyprus is inside the European Economic Area. Some of our service providers process data outside the EEA and the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and their UK equivalent, so your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 24 months, so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, and then deleted.

For couples who book, we keep planning records for the duration of the engagement and for a period afterwards. Financial records are kept for seven years to satisfy Cypriot tax and accounting requirements. After that we delete the information or anonymise it.

Photography

We may want to feature images from your wedding on this website, in our journal, or on social media. We ask for permission before doing so, and you can decline or change your mind later — just email us and we will remove the images from anything we control.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Ask us to delete your information, where there is no continuing reason for us to hold it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
  • Receive the information you gave us in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent

Email sales@marrymecyprus.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Cypriot supervisory authority, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy). If you are in the UK, you may instead complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). We would ask you to raise it with us first, so we have the chance to put it right.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS, and enquiries are transmitted encrypted. Access to your information inside our business is limited to the people who need it to plan your wedding. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously and review how we handle it.

Children

Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 through this website. Where children attend a wedding we plan, any details we hold about them come from their parents or guardians as part of guest arrangements.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we will tell couples we are actively working with directly.
